Dr J is a live photographer and documenter of queer performance and community. Working in London, Brighton, Stockholm and Upsalla, she has photographed in venues like Royal Covent Garden Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Bistrotheque, and The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Battersea Arts Centre, Soho Theatre and artists including Dorian Wood, Our Lady J, Justin Bond, Bourgeois and Maurice, Scottee, Jonny Woo, Josephine Wilson, Jet Moon, Mister Meredith, and Michael Twaits.
Dr J works closely with both WoteverWorld (www.woteverworld.com) and The Royal Vauxhall Tavern (www.theroyalvauxhalltavern.co.uk) to document events and performances. She also documents protests, parades and art gallery openings.
Dr J posts her work in Galleries within hours of the event, providing a view into the performances and community in queer London, with free and liberal access to all giving visibility to a community.
Dr J has produced a film and a series of photos entitled "Living Room: Bar Wotever 2007-2009" that are currently being promoting for exhibition. See livingroomprojects.com for details
